The Basics
What Is a Stitching App?
A stitching app holds the four things a tailoring shop currently keeps on paper — the customer’s measurements, the order and its delivery date, the bill, and the balance still owed. Each of those already exists in your shop. They just live in a register, a slip book and your memory, and none of them talk to each other.
In an app they are one chain. The measurement you save becomes the order. The order carries the delivery date. Closing the order produces the bill, and the bill leaves the balance attached to that customer until it is cleared. Nothing is written twice, and nothing depends on remembering.
That connection is the whole difference between a stitching app and a notes app. Plenty of apps will store a measurement. Very few will tell you, on a Tuesday morning, which six blouses are due Friday and which three customers still owe money.
