Search the wider web for “Dilip Tailor” and what comes back is people: Instagram accounts, a YouTube channel that teaches cutting and stitching, and profiles of people who happen to be called Dilip Tailor. It is a name, not a product.

The closest thing on Google Play is Dileep Tailors — Ladies tailor, from a developer listed as Softwarefuels, spelt with a double e. Read on 8 September 2026 it shows 4.0 stars from 723 reviews and more than a lakh downloads, and it carries ads and is rated for 12+.
Its own description says it is an app where you can learn blouse and suit designs and tailoring. That is a teaching app, not a shop system. It will not hold your customers, take an order, raise a bill or track what a karigar is owed, and it is not trying to.
So it is a perfectly reasonable thing to install if you want to learn designs. It is the wrong thing to install if you were looking for software to run the shop, and the name is close enough that people do exactly that.
Why the Search Is Growing Anyway
The search term is rising fast, and the reason has nothing to do with any particular app. Three things are happening on every tailoring street at once:
- A smartphone now sits beside the sewing machine, and data is cheap.
- Customers order on WhatsApp and expect to be updated on WhatsApp. A paper diary cannot reply.
- The diary itself starts breaking somewhere around the point where a shop cannot remember the week ahead — and festival season finds every weak spot.
First-time digital tailors search for a name they have heard, not for a category. That is why half-remembered names spike, and why so many of them lead nowhere.

- Where do the records live if the phone is lost, and can you get them out again?
If your answer to all four is “I do not need that”, a simple free app is genuinely enough and you should not be sold anything else.
